Block courses are held at the Glass & Glazing Institute of New Zealand in the Hutt Valley (Wellington). The apprentice may attend the first block course before finishing the distance learning.

Glazing apprentices attend three 3-week block courses.

Polytech Block Course Fees
Apprentice invoices are sent prior to the start of the block course. The full cost of each course is approximately $1450. The government through the Joinery ITO provides a subsidy reducing this cost to $450. If JITO is notified of withdrawal from the course within 6 weeks of the start date, full costs will be charged.
